System Requirements

Genialist Media Server can be installed and run on computers with:

• Microsoft Windows
  • 64bits operating system, version 7, 8 or 10,
  • 1 GB of memory minimum,
  • 420 MB of disk space for the server installation,
  • 1 GB of disk space to store the media information or more, depending how many medias you import.
• Linux
  • 32bits or 64bits operating system, Debian-based like Ubuntu,
  • 1 GB of memory minimum,
  • 420 MB of disk space for the server installation,
  • 1 GB of disk space to store the media information or more, depending how many medias you import.

Device Requirements

Supported devices and web-browsers for accessing the server as a web-site are:

• Firefox web-browser on any operating-system,
• Google Chrome web-browser on any operating-system,
• Any Web-Browser based on Google Chrome on any operating-system (such as Brave, Microsoft Edge, etc...),
• Apple iPhone and iPad with iOS operating system version 10 or more,
• Phones or tablets with Android operating system: you can access the server from:
  • Any Google Chrome-based web-browser,
  • or the GMS Client Android app:

Unsupported and untested devices and web-browsers that should work are:

• Safari on Apple Mac.

Unsupported devices and web-browsers are:

• Microsoft Internet Explorer.
• Microsoft Edge (versions not base on Google Chrome).
